Entrepreneur Pinky Cole, the founder of the immensely popular vegan food chain Slutty Vegan, has decided to reward two of her longtime employees, Angel and Miesha, by gifting them their own Slutty Vegan restaurant, making it the 15th location in the franchise. These two staff members have been with Cole since the beginning, playing crucial roles in logistics and operations, respectively. In a heartfelt social media post, Cole expressed her gratitude, stating that she could not have achieved her success without their dedication and hard work.
After launching the restaurant in 2018, her second attempt at running a restaurant, Cole's plant-based burger business has flourished, now boasting a valuation exceeding $100 million. Initially operating out of a shared kitchen, Cole recalls how quickly her products gained a following, with eager customers lining up almost immediately. In those early days, the excitement surrounding Slutty Vegan was palpable. Cole reminisced about the moment when she realized the business was taking off, noting how she suddenly saw around 300 people standing outside, all waiting to pick up their orders. This enthusiastic reception set the stage for the rapid growth of her brand. Today, Slutty Vegan has expanded to 14 locations, including a groundbreaking spot at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, marking it as the first vegan restaurant in the busiest airport in the United States. Long before reaching this level of success, Cole was already committed to giving back, a principle that has been integral to her brand. She has provided support to families in need, gifted businesses to students, and donated millions of dollars to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Vonoi Magazine
